JEE Advanced 2026 data breach claims rejected; IIT Roorkee says results and candidate records remain secure

The Union Education Ministry has rejected claims of a data breach in JEE (Advanced) 2026, stating that candidate information, marks, and examination results remain secure. IIT Roorkee clarified that a temporary cloud storage misconfiguration affected only a tiny fraction of data in read-only mode and was swiftly fixed. The institute stressed that no sensitive information was compromised and that the incident had no impact on ranks, scores, or the admission process.
