Indian railways recruits 43,781 candidates in 2025-26, expands tech driven hiring and annual exam calendar system

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) process, stressing transparency, accuracy, and faster, technology-driven hiring. Indian Railways recruited 43,781 candidates in FY 2025–26 across key categories including ALPs, technicians, and paramedical staff. CBT-based exams, expanded tablet testing, and a multilingual system were highlighted. The minister also noted strong candidate response to the annual recruitment calendar and directed improved communication and misinformation control to strengthen trust in the recruitment system nationwide.
