The Union Agriculture Ministry has launched the NSP-DBT system for agriculture students, releasing Rs 21.35 crore in scholarships and fellowships to more than 6,000 students. The system will provide monthly scholarship payments through DBT. Students applying for eligible scholarships for 2026-27 must complete One-Time Registration before submitting applications. The NSP portal opened on June 1, with October 31 as the deadline for most Post-Matric and Higher Education scholarships. Verification will continue through November.
