A historic 1903 house in Columbia, South Carolina, is being demolished nearly 18 years after Allen University moved it two blocks and promised to restore it. The Robert Weston Mance House was linked to generations of Black community and civil rights leaders. After years of neglect, a legal fight over its future and concerns about safety, the city approved its demolition.
