Delhi fee regulation order 2026: Private schools get timelines, no fresh fee hike allowed until new structure is fixed

The Delhi government has introduced a new framework to strengthen private school fee regulation, setting deadlines for fee committees and appellate bodies. The order bars schools from raising fees until the next three-year structure is approved and keeps previous charges in force during transition. It also provides for scrutiny of excessive fees collected during 2025-26, subject to court proceedings.
