MDU professor’s research project gets ₹25 lakh grant for sustainable wheat farming

Maharshi Dayanand University’s Prof. Vinita Hooda secured ₹25 lakh from HSCST for a three-year project. This initiative explores mycorrhiza-microbiome synergy to slash fertilizer use in wheat cultivation, boosting resilience against heat and drought. The research promises sustainable farming, improved soil health, and reduced farmer costs, marking a significant win for MDU’s innovation.
